How to Purchase
- Enquire: Use the email form on the Contact form. Please let me know the products, whether you prefer 4 HP, 5HP or 6 HP panels (if available), and if you are in UK/EU (for ROHS boards)
- Invite: I will send you details of price and availability, and packaging/postage costs
- Offer: You use Paypal to pay and set shipping address – note that post offices now require phone or email address for delivery
- Accept: We send you the unpopulated PCB and panel by tracked post, and email the schematic.
- Make: You build it, with components sourced by you from the Bill of Materials (BOM) and asking us any build questions that come up, and then make amazing music!
What you get
One or more panel/PCB combinations, with no components will be shipped. Schematics will be emailed individually. The Bill of Materials, Release Notes and Build Instructions are available on the product page. Please feel free to email questions during the build for help or suggestions.
When ordering, specify whether you pefera 6HP, 5HP or 4HP panel. The 4 and 6HP panels are made from PCB material; the 5HP from aluminium. Not al panels ae available in all types.
ROHS: Generally we supply the ROHS PCB. For non-Euro/UK customers, on some older products, we may supply the (easier to solder) HASL boards we order for our initial production run.
Packaging and Shipping
Please check the Express Parcel and Standard Parcel columns on this information page: if the service is suspended we probably cannot deliver reliably at a reasonable cost.
Customers can choose:
- Express: expect 1.5 to 3 weeks
- Standard: expect 2.5 to 6 weeks
- Regular mail envelope (1 or 2 PCB only by arrangement): 2 weeks to 3 months
The PCB and panel will be sent in a cardboard sleeve or box or padded strong mail bag. Sent with customs declaration and (EU/US) ROHS certificate. Note that due to their small weight, multiple PCBs can usually be combined and sent with no additional postage cost; 3 sets may be better value than 2 sets.
Customs and V.A.T (UK & EU)
Boards and panels will be valued at USD $2.50 each (AUD $4.12, Euro 1.60, GBP £1.85.) VAT is charged at your end to you.
A source suggested that for the U.K., if you are a business or self-employed, I believe V.A.T. is not charged on sales < £135; I have not confirmed this.
