Quad passive level and range preset utility
Pads and Fix are the same module with different panels. It is used to simplify connecting together subsystems with different specifications, in particular where one system of module provides signals that are too “hot” for their destination system or modules.
Pads and Fix are permanent fixes for these, they have no panel controls. The user/builder can select from different features:
- a trimpot to reduce the signal level;
- a diode to reduce negative signal excursions;
- a zener diode to provide a maximum for positive signal excursions;
- a smoothing capacitor for unwanted high frequencies or sharp edges.
The Pads panel just labels each sections 1,2,3,4. The Fix panel is printed on the reverse of the Pads panel: the sections are labelled CV, Velocity, AT/BC, and Gate.
