Dynamic AR Envelope Generator allowing cleaner detatched notes in a phrase

Velocity-sensitive kind of AR Envelope Generator, but allowing cleanly articulated notes within the overall phrase: viva portato!

This allows the kind of natural envelope of singing and speech, where the first note has a slower attack (as the muscles of the diaphram squeeze to start the air pressure from the lungs) and internal notes of a phrase have a faster attack/decay (as this articulation is done in the glottis/throat.) It is also one characteristic articulation of wind players (portato) and violinists (martelé).

Also useful as slew rate limiter/lag generator if you put e.g. an ADSR CV into the In Gate socket, an envelope follower (with some bleed) if you put audio into the In Gate socket, or for side-chain compression, in conjunction with an optical limiter such as the Duck module.

What is portato articulation?

So legato is OK, staccato is OK, but what use are the puffs in between?

The phrase fades in but there is a dip between each note so they are distinct.
