Tame/Duck Bill of Materials

Tame and Duck are a little unusual, in that the specific components can be chosen by the builder in order to get the specific responses desired. Indeed, each of the four sections could be given different responses, for different uses.

See the Release Notes for how to select the values or types. The bold is default.

BONUS: To simplify building and ordering, each Tame & Duck PCB/Panel ordered will come with 4 &2 LDR (Light Dependent Resistors) and suitable heat-shrink tubing. You do not need to purchase these, unless you want to want other responses. (The supplied LDRs may be all GL5528, GL5516, GL5506 or similar.)

Tame

8 x PJ302M sockets (switching or non-switching)

R1, R1a, R2, R2a: 2.2k

R9, R11: 4.7k

R4, R7, R12, R15: max limiting: 2.2k to 2.7k (more for weaker)

R5, R8, R14, R16: limiting strength: 2.2k to 2.7k (more for weaker)

R3, R6, R10, R13: light dependent resistor (LDR) (Supplied)

D1, D2, D5, D6, D9, D10, D13, D14: threshold diode: any colour LED chosen for Forward Voltage (threshold) or a 1N4148 for quite low threshold, or several 1N4148 in series. Yellow or green LEDs may be suitable. (For lowest threshold, replace with links.)

D3, D4, D7, D8, D11, D12, D15, D16: LED: White or Yellow-ish LEDs will work best. Avoid blue.

Heat shrink tubing as detailed. 2 x 5cm hookup wire.

Duck

(Omit all components not mentioned. There are several omitted components.)

8 x PJ302M sockets (switching or non-switching)

R1, R2: 1k

R9, R9a, R11, R11a: ~2.2k

R5, R8: limiting strength: 1k

R3, R6: light dependent resistor (LDR). (Supplied)

R4, R7: replace with link. (If you are getting more distortion than you want at maximum attenuation, add a resistor here, e.g. 470 ohm)

D1, D2, D5, D6: threshold diode: any colour LED chosen for Forward Voltage (threshold) or a 1N4148 for quite low threshold, or several 1N4148 in series. Yellow or green LEDs may be suitable. (For lowest threshold, replace with links.)

D3, D4, D7, D8: LED: White or Yellow-ish LEDs will work best. Avoid blue.

Heat shrink tubing as detailed.
