The controls are:
- Phrase AR: controls the initial swell time, and the time between notes where the swell level is maintained.
- Note AR: controls the Attack and Release time of notes with a phrase.
- Accent: controls how sensitive the Envelope Generator is to the velocity input: fully clockwise the accent is fixed, fully counter-clockwise and the velocity almost completely controls the Envelope. Typically, a value of 25% is a useful place to start. (If the velocity input is not used, then this control is just a level control.)
The LED is:
- Phrase: shows the state of the Phrase envelope, which may help learning when the portato effect is in operation.
The sockets are:
- In Gate: a gate signal 0 to 5V, if the module is being used as an Envelope Generator. If the module is being used as a lag generator, then any positive control signal can be used, < 10V.
- In Velocity: the velocity signal, 0 to 5V expected. A higher level input signal may be preferred, e.g. 0 to 7V.
- EG Out: the output envelope signal, suitable for controlling a VCA etc.
